Erin Brockovich (Roberts), a legal assistant, discovers that a power company is polluting the area's water supply, and hundreds are getting sick and even dying because of it.  She investigates the situation and tries to take down the guilty company.

All in all, I enjoyed this movie.  I both loved and hated Erin and her harsh and sweet personality.  This is definitely a drama, but the ending is very satisfying.  She does wear very revealing, trashy clothing, and everybody's language is pretty awful, but besides that, good movie!  :)

NOTE: The real Erin Brockovich actually has a cameo- she plays the waitress in the restaurant in the beginning!

Mirror Mirror, 2012

A Snow White story, made into a comedy.  Sometimes this was funny, but honestly, the best part about seeing this in the theater was that it was free because it was a gift, and there was a guy in front of me and ,my friends who fell asleep and started snoring.  The choking silent laughter with friends was worth sitting through the whole silly movie.

It's almost Julianne's (Roberts) birthday, and she remembers that she and her best friend Michael (Mulroney) once promised each other that if they weren't married by the time they were 30, they'd marry each other.  When he calls her that night, he tells her he's getting married to Kimberly (Diaz), and she suddenly realizes she loves him and wants him for herself.

It's only days before the wedding, and Julianne must act quickly if she wants Michael for herself.  She has her gay friend George (Everett) to pretend he's her boyfriend, just to make Michael jealous.  That makes for some funny stuff.  

I remember watching this one a lot when it was new.  I haven't seen it in years, so maybe it's not exactly what I remember.

Conspiracy Theory, 1997

Crazy, paranoid conspiracy theorists shouldn't be this handsome.

Don't get me wrong, Mel does a great job, I think. You can't help but think he's totally dreamy because he's Mel, even though he lives in an apartment that has a combination lock on everything, even the canisters of food inside the locked fridge. And he has to purchase a copy of The Catcher in the Rye every time he goes to a bookstore.....

Jerry (Gibson) is a paranoid conspiracy theorist-- but this guy isn't just crazy for no reason: he's got lots of secrets of his own. His lawyer friend Alice (Roberts) soon gets caught up in his troubles as well. But some things don't add up, and Alice begins to investigate with Jerry the mystery behind Dr. Jonas (Stewart) and his secret project.

It's a bit hard to explain. It's hard for me to explain, anyway. (Wikipedia has got it covered, so I don't have to.) It's a thriller, and just to warn you, there are some torture spots. Not fun! But there are a few funny moments- Jerry's lines can be quite amusing.

Ocean's Twelve, 2004

The guys are back. This time it's an about art and in Europe. Fitting.

Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), owner of the three casino-hotels Ocean's eleven robbed three years ago, wants revenge. One by one, he finds them all, warning them they have two weeks to come up with his money- $160 million. Plus interest. How will they pull this one off?

Personally, I think it was a darn good sequel. It includes a cameo by Bruce Willis, a surprising ending, Eddie Izzard (my favorite comedian!!), and lots of fun throughout. I loved so many lines in the film! I just have to share some favorites.

FACT: Despite the fact that they make fun of his age, George Clooney was only 43 when this film came out. He is 50 this year.

FACT: The whole scene with Rusty and Danny, watching Happy Days in French absolutely cracks me up! But that isn't my "fact". Danny makes a comment about Potsie, so I decided to look Potsie up just to see if there was some kind of significance there. I have no idea, but I did find out that Potsie's real name is Anson William Heimlick. Yes, THE Heimlick. He's related to Dr. Heimlick! Cool!

Ocean's Eleven, 2001

I love heists! Watching one just makes me want to steal something! This could spark a whole marathon of films.... and a life of crime.

I especially love the style of the film, and the cinematography. Not only is the content entertaining and the characters funny and memorable, it is also a beautiful movie.

Danny Ocean (Clooney) and Rusty Ryan (Pitt) assemble an all-star, eleven-man crew to knock over 3 casinos in Las Vegas. It is a remake of the 1960 Ocean's Eleven. And it's better.

What I love: 1) Pitt and Clooney. They're amazing together. Their dialogue -wow! 2) Before working on the heist, Rusty's job is teaching movie stars how to play poker! There is a brilliant multi-cameo scene with Topher Grace, Barry Watson, Joshua Jackson, and others. 3) Matt Damon! Mr. Action Hero/Jason Bourne/all around Tough Guy plays the new thief; the pick-pocket who wants a chance to be a part of something big. He's very gullible and very lovable, and not at all Jason Bourne, which just shows how great an actor Matt Damon is.

NOTE: The commentaries are very fun! Sometimes I absolutely love watching/listening to the commentaries, and these ones I really loved! I highly recommend them.

Bottom line: You'll love it.
